सेवककी इच्छा क्या

हजरत इब्राहीम जब बलखके बादशाह थे, उन्होंने एक गुलाम खरीदा। अपनी स्वाभाविक उदारता के कारण उन्होंने उस गुलामसे पूछा—’तेरा नाम क्या है ?” गुलामने उत्तर दिया- ‘जिस नामसे आप मुझे पुकारें।बादशाह – ‘तू क्या खायेगा ?’

गुलाम – ‘जो आप खिलायें ।’

बादशाह – ‘तुझे कपड़े कैसे पसंद हैं?’

गुलाम – ‘जो आप पहिननेको दें।’

बादशाह – ‘तू काम क्या करेगा ?’
गुलाम- ‘जो आप करायें।’

‘आखिर तू चाहता क्या है ?’ बादशाहने हैरान होकर पूछा।

‘हुजूर! गुलामकी अपनी चाह क्या ।’ गुलामशान्तिपूर्वक खड़ा था । बादशाह गद्दीसे उठे और बोले- ‘तुम मेरे उस्ताद हो। तुमने मुझे सिखाया कि परमात्माके सेवकको कैसा होना चाहिये ।’ – सु0 सिं0

When Hazrat Ibrahim was the king of Balkh, he bought a slave. Out of his natural generosity, he asked the slave – ‘What is your name?” The slave replied – ‘By whatever name you call me. The king – ‘What will you eat?’
Ghulam – ‘Whatever you feed’.
Badshah – ‘How do you like the clothes?’
Ghulam – ‘What you give to the wearer.’
Badshah – ‘What work will you do?’
Ghulam – ‘Whatever you do.’
‘What do you want?’ The king asked in surprise.
‘Hujoor! What is the slave’s own desire? The slave was standing calmly. The king got up from the throne and said – ‘You are my teacher. You taught me how a servant of God should be.’ – Su 0 Sin 0
