उधारकी पिकनिक नहीं
स्कूलके कुछ छात्रोंने पिकनिकपर जानेका प्रोग्राम बनाया और तय किया कि प्रत्येक छात्र घरसे कुछ-न कुछ खानेका समान लायेगा। एक छात्रने अपनी माँको पिकनिकके बारेमें बताया और कुछ खानेका सामान माँगा। लेकिन घरमें मात्र कुछ खजूर पड़े थे और कुछ भी नहीं था, पैसे भी नहीं थे। खजूर ले जाना उसको अच्छा न लगा।
कुछ देर बाद पिता आये तो माँने बालकके पिकनिक प्रोग्रामके बारेमें बताया। लेकिन उनकी जेब भी खाली थी। तब उन्होंने निश्चय किया कि पड़ोससे कुछ पैसे उधार लेकर बालककी इच्छा अवश्य पूरी करेंगे।
वह पड़ोसीके पास जानेको हुए तो बालकने उनका हाथ पकड़ लिया और बोला-‘पिताजी! आप कहाँ जा रहे हैं?’ पिता बोले-‘बेटा! घरमें तो कुछ है ही नहीं, तुम्हारे पिकनिक प्रोग्रामके लिये पड़ोसीसे कुछ पैसे माँग लाता हूँ।’

not a borrowed picnic
Some students of the school made a program to go on a picnic and decided that each student would bring something to eat from home. A student told his mother about the picnic and asked for some eatables. But only a few dates were lying in the house and there was nothing, not even money. He didn’t like taking dates.
When the father came after some time, the mother told about the picnic program of the child. But his pocket was also empty. Then he decided that he would definitely fulfill the wish of the child by borrowing some money from the neighbor.
When he was about to go to the neighbor, the child held his hand and said – ‘Father! Where are you going?’ Father said – ‘ Son! There is nothing at home, I will ask the neighbor for some money for your picnic programme.’
On this the child said – ‘Father! It is not appropriate to ask for a loan. I do not wish to go on a picnic. Even if dates are lying in the house.
