sacrament of giving
A saint shouted at a door – ‘Bhikshan dehi’. A little girl came out and said ‘Baba! We are very poor and have nothing to give.’
Saint said – ‘ Daughter! Don’t refuse, just give the dust of your yard.’
The girl picked up a handful of dust and put it in the begging bowl. Taking alms, the saint went ahead with his disciple.
The disciple said – ‘ Guruji, dust is also alms. Why did you ask to give dust?”
Saint said – ‘ Son! If she had said ‘no’ today, she would never have been able to donate again. What happened if you gave dust, the rituals of donating have become. Even if I have given dust today, there is a sense of giving in it.
Woke up.
