तुलसीका चमत्कार

श्रीठाकुरसाहब लदाणा (जयपुर) – के पास एक मुसलमान सज्जन आये, उनके गलेमें तुलसीकी कंठी बँधी हुई थी। ठाकुरसाहबने पूछा कि ‘आप मुसलमान होते हुए तुलसीकी कंठी कैसे पहने हुए हैं?’ उत्तरमें उन्होंने कहा कि “ठाकुरसाहब! इसके लिये एक समय मैंने प्रत्यक्ष बड़ा चमत्कार देखा है; तभीसे यह तुलसीकी माला हमेशा रखता हूँ। चमत्कार क्या देखा, सो आपसे निवेदन करता हूँ

‘एक समय मैं पैदल ही किसी दूसरे गाँव जा रहा था। रास्तेमें एक जंगल था। उस जंगलमें एक पेड़के नीचे बड़े आकारके दो मनुष्य मिले। मैं उनको देखकर डर गया। मुझे डरा हुआ जानकर उन्होंने विश्वास दिलाया कि‘घबराओ मत; आपको कुछ नहीं कहेंगे। हम यमराजके दूत हैं। अभी थोड़ी देरमें एक मनुष्य गाड़ी लेकर यहाँ आयेगा, उसके बैलकी जोती (जो जुआसे बैलके कंधेपर बाँधी जाती है) टूट जायगी। फिर हम बैलरूपी कालबनकर उसको मारकर यमलोक ले जायँगे।’

‘यह बात सुनकर मैं भी वहाँ ठहर गया। थोड़ी 44 देर बाद एक गाड़ीवान गाड़ी लेकर आया और उसी जगह वह जोती टूट गयी और गाड़ीवान सुधारनेके लिये नीचे उतरा, उसी समय बैलने उसके पेटमें इतने जोरसे सींग मारा कि तत्काल वह एक पेड़ोंके झुरमुटमें जा गिरा और उसके प्राण छूट गये।

“तब यमके दोनों दूत निराश होकर मुझसे बोले कि ‘हम तो खाली हाथ जा रहे हैं, अब हमारा इसपर अधिकार नहीं रहा।’ इसे भगवान्के दूत ले गये जो आपके नजर नहीं आये।’ मैंने यमदूतोंसे कारण पूछा, तब बोले कि ‘उस झुरमुटमें तुलसीके पौधे थे। इसके शरीरसे उनका स्पर्श हो गया। अतः इसे यमलोकमें ले जानेका अधिकार नहीं रहा । ‘

“इस प्रकार मैंने स्वयं जब तुलसीका चमत्कार देखा, तभीसे मैं तुलसीकी माला पहनता हूँ।”

Shri Thakursaheb Ladana (Jaipur) – A Muslim gentleman came to him, with a basil plant tied around his neck. Thakursaheb asked, ‘How are you wearing Tulsi Kanthi, being a Muslim?’ In reply, he said, “Thakursaheb! For this, once I have seen a great miracle; since then I always keep this Tulsi garland. What miracle did I see, so I request you.
‘Once I was going to another village on foot. There was a forest on the way. In that forest, two big-sized humans were found under a tree. I got scared seeing them. Knowing that I was scared, he assured me that ‘Don’t panic; Will not say anything to you. We are the messengers of Yamraj. In a short while, a man will come here with a cart, his bullock’s yoke (which is tied on the shoulder of the bullock as a yoke) will break. Then we will kill him in the form of a bull and take him to Yamlok.’
Hearing this, I also stayed there. After some time a cartman came with a cart and at the same place the plow broke and the cartman got down to repair it, at the same time the bull hit his stomach so hard that he immediately fell into a clump of trees and lost his life.
“Then both the messengers of Yama were disappointed and said to me that ‘we are going empty handed, now we have no right over this.’ It was taken away by the messengers of God who were not seen by you.’ I asked the Yamdoots the reason, then they said that ‘there were basil plants in that clump. His body touched them.
“Thus, when I myself saw the miracle of Tulsi, I wear Tulsi’s garland.”
