तुम्हारी चाह मे प्रभु मेरा कल्याण

समर्थ रामदास ( छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज के गुरु )का अम्बादास नाम का एक शिष्य था ।उसकी भक्ति और सेवा भाव से रामदास उसपर प्रसन्न थे ,किन्तु दुसरे शिष्यों को ये बात खलती थीं ।एक दिन मध्याह्न के समय समर्थ ने उसे बुलाकर कहा ;जाओ सामने के विल्ववृक्ष की शाखा पर बैठ कर उस शाखा को आरी से काट लाओ ; ।शिष्यों ने सुना उन्हें ये आदेश विचित्र मालूम हुआ ,क्योंकी अगर ऐसा करता तो अम्बादास नीचे कुएँ मे जाता ।उन्होंनेसलाह दी वह दुसरी शाखा पर बैठे कर उस शाखा को काट लाए ।किन्तु अम्बादास बोला ;मै तो गुरु देव की आज्ञा का पालन करुंगा ;।और हुआ भी वैसा ही ज्यो ही शाखा कटने को आयी की वह धडाम से कुएँ मे जा गिरा ।
कुएँ मे गिरते ही अम्बादास ने आखे बन्द कर ली और वह प्रभु का स्मरण करने लगा ।थोड़ी देर बाद जब आखें खोली,तो उसे जल तो कहीं दिखाई न दिया बल्कि साक्षात रघुवशशिरोमणि श्रीरामचन्द्र जी को प्रसन्न मुद्रा मे सामने पाया।उनके दर्शन से वह गदगद हो गया और उसकिआखें अश्रुविह्लल हो गयी ।भक्ति भाव से उसने साष्टांग प्रणाम किया ही था कि ऊपर से आवाज सुनाई दी ;अम्बादास कैसे हो ;?बात यह थी कि अम्बादास के गिरने की आवाज सुनकर शिष्यगण गुरु को लेकर वहाँ पहुंचे थे और सन्त ने उन्हें आवाज लगाई थी ।
गुरु की आवाज सुन अम्बादास उठने लगा ,लेकिन प्रभु अन्तरधान हो गए थे ।उसने वही से उत्तर दिया ;गुरु जी आपकी कृपा से कल्याण हैं ;।और वह ऊपर निकल आया ।गुरुदेव उससे बोले ;;सचमुच तु आज्ञाकारी शिष्य है ।आज से तेरा नाम अम्बादास नही कल्याण हो गया है ।।।।

Samarth Ramdas (guru of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj) had a disciple named Ambadas. Ramdas was pleased with him for his devotion and service, but other disciples used to miss this thing. One day in the afternoon, Samarth called him and said; Go in front. Sit on the branch of the Vilva tree and cut that branch with a saw; The disciples heard this order and found it strange, because if he had done so, Ambadas would have gone down into the well. They advised him to sit on another branch and cut that branch. But Ambadas said; I will obey Guru Dev’s orders; And the same thing happened, as soon as the branch came to be cut, it fell into the well with a bang.
As soon as he fell in the well, Ambadas closed his eyes and started remembering the Lord. When he opened his eyes after a while, he did not see water anywhere, but saw Raghuvashiromani Shri Ramchandra ji in front of him in a happy mood. It happened and his eyes became tearful. He had just prostrated with devotion that a voice was heard from above; How are you, Ambadas? The thing was that hearing the sound of Ambadas falling, the disciples had reached there with the Guru and the saint greeted them. The voice was raised.
Hearing the Guru’s voice, Ambadas started getting up, but the Lord had disappeared. The name is not Ambadas, it has become Kalyan.
