मथुरा भगवान श्रीकृष्ण और राधारानी का एकाकार रूप है बांके बिहारी। वृंदावन में बांके बिहारी का प्रसिद्ध मंदिर है। यहां बांके बिहारी की एक झलक पाने के लिए देश विदेश से रोजाना हजारों लोग आते हैं। दर्शन के दौरान अधिकतर भक्त आंखें बंद कर भगवान का ध्यान करते हैं, लेकिन आपको बता दें कि बांके बिहारी जाकर ऐसी भूल मत कीजिएगा, नहीं तो आपका यहां आना व्यर्थ हो जाएगा। आइए आपको बताते हैं हम ऐसा क्यों कह रहे हैं।
इसलिए मिलाएं बांके बिहारी से नजरें
कम लोग ही जानते हैं( जो लोग जानते हैं कृपया राधे राधे नाम की हाजरी जरुर लगाएं )कि बांके बिहारी की मूर्ति बनाई नहीं गई थी बल्कि ये स्वामी हरिदास के अनुरोध पर प्रकट हुई थी ताकि अन्य लोग भी इसके दर्शन कर भगवान के साक्षात दर्शन कर उनका आशीर्वाद ले सकें। भगवान कृष्ण और माता राधा प्रेम के अधीन हैं जो भी इन्हें प्रेम करता है या इनकी इस मूर्ति की आंखों में आंखें डालकर प्रेम पूर्वक निहारता है, भगवान उस भक्त पर कृपा करने से खुदको नहीं रोक पाते। इसको एक नजर देखने के पीछे एक कथा भी प्रचलित है।
ये है कथा
कहा जाता है कि एक बार राजस्थान के एक राजा बांके बिहारी के दर्शन करने वृंदावन आए और वे भगवान बांके बिहारी की नजरों से नजरें मिलाकर उन्हें एक टक देखते रहे। इसके बाद राजा अपने राज्य वापस चले गए। कुछ देर बाद मंदिर के सेवायतों ने मंदिर में आकर देखा तो वहां भगवान मौजूद नहीं थे। इस घटना से मंदिर के पुजारियों में हड़कंप मच गया। भगवान की स्तुति की गई तो पता चला कि भगवान वहां से अपने भक्त के प्रेम के अधीन होकर वहां से उनके साथ ही चले गए हैं।
काफी प्रार्थना के बाद भगवान को मंदिर में फिर से स्थापित किया गया। तब से लेकर आज तक यहां किसी को भी भगवान को एकटक देखने की इजाजत नहीं दी जाती है। सेवायत पुजारी इस बात का विशेष खयाल रखते हैं कि कोई भी भक्त इन्हें लगातार न देख सके। इसके लिए मूर्ति के सामने थोड़ी—थोड़ी देर में पर्दा डाला जाता है।
दर्शन कर स्वयं बहते हैं आंखों से आंसू
इस मंदिर में बांके बिहारी के दर्शन के लिए आए भक्तों का कहना है कि जब भक्त उनके दर्शन करते हैं तो स्वयं उनके रंग में रंग जाते हैं। उनकी आंखें नम होने लगती हैं, जिसका कारण उन्हें खुद भी पता नहीं होता। उसके बाद यहां बस जाने का या बार बार आने का मन करता है। यहां आए भक्तों को कभी निराशा हाथ नहीं लगती, बांके बिहारी सबकी कामना पूरी करते हैं
