एक बार ऋषि दुर्वासा बरसाने आये। श्री राधारानी अपनी सखियों संग बाल क्रीड़ा में मग्न थी। छोटे छोटे बर्तनों में झूठ मूठ भोजन बनाकर इष्ट भगवान् श्री कृष्ण को भोग लगा रही थी। ऋषि को देखकर राधारानी और सखियाँ संस्कार वश बड़े प्रेम से उनका स्वागत किया. उन्होंने ऋषि को प्रणाम किया और बैठने को कहा.
ऋषि दुर्वासा भोली भाली छोटी छोटी कन्यायों के प्रेम से बड़े प्रसन्न हुये और उन्होंने जो आसन बिछाया था उसमें बैठ गये।
जिन ऋषि की सेवा में त्रुटि के भय से त्रिलोकी काँपती है, वही ऋषि दुर्वासा की सेवा राधारानी एवम सखियाँ भोलेपन से सहजता से कर रही हैं। ऋषि केवल उन्हें देखकर मुस्कुरा रहे।
सखियाँ कहती है –“महाराज ! आपको पता है हमारी प्यारी राधा न बहुत अच्छे लड्डू बनाती है। हमने भोग अर्पण किया है। अभी आपको प्रसादी देते हैं।” यह कहकर सखियाँ लड्डू प्रसाद ले आती हैं।
लड्डू प्रसाद तो है, पर है ब्रजरज का बना, खेल खेल में बनाया गया। ऋषि दुर्वासा उनके भोलेपन से अभिभूत हो जाते हैं।
हँसकर कहते हैं- “लाली.! प्रसाद पा लूँ ? क्या ये तुमने बनाया है.?”
सारी सखियाँ कहती हैं- “हाँ हाँ ऋषिवर ! ये राधा ने बनाया है। आज तक ऐसा लड्डू आपने नही खाया होगा।” मुंह में डालते ही परम चकित, शब्द रहित हो जाते हैं।
एक तो ब्रजरज का स्वाद, दूजा श्री राधा जी के हाथ का स्पर्श लड्डू। “अमृत को फीका करे, ऐसा स्वाद लड्डू का”
ऋषि की आंखों में आंसू आ जाते हैं। अत्यंत प्रसन्न हो वो राधारानी को पास बुलाते हैं। और बड़े प्रेम से उनके सिर पर हाथ रखकर उन्हें आशीर्वाद देते हैं- “बेटी आज से तुम ‘अमृतहस्ता’ हुई।
“जगत की स्वामिनी हैं श्रीजी, उनको किसी के आशीर्वाद की ज़रूरत नहीं फिर भी देव मर्यादा से आशीर्वाद स्वीकार किया।
दुर्वासा ऋषि बोले – राधा रानी आप जो बनावोगी वो अमृत से भी अधिक स्वादिष्ट हो जायेगा ।
जो भी उस दिव्य प्रसाद को पायेगा उसके यश, आयु में वृद्धि होगी उस पर कोई विपत्ति नहीं आयेगी, उसकी कीर्ति त्रिलोकी में होगी ।।
ये बात व्रज में फ़ैल गयी आग की तरह की ऋषि दुर्वासा ने राधा जी को आशीर्वाद दिया ।
जब मैया यशोदा को जब ये पता चला तो वो तुरंत मैया कीर्तिदा के पास गयी और विनती की आप राधा रानी को रोज हमारे घर नन्द भवन में भोजन बनाने के लिए भेज दिया करे .
वे दुर्वासा ऋषि के आशीर्वाद से अमृतहस्ता हो गयी है और कंस मेरे पुत्र कृष्ण के अनिष्ठ के लिए हर रोज अनेक असुर भेजता
है.।
हमारा मन बहुत चिंतित होता है आपकी बेटी के हाथो से बना हुआ प्रसाद पायेगा तो उनका अनिष्ठ नहीं होगा उसकी बल, बुद्धि, आयु में वृद्धि होगी.।
फिर कीर्तिजा मैय्या ने श्री राधा रानी जी से कहा – आप यसोदा मैया की इच्छा पूर्ति के लिये प्रति दिन नन्द गाँव जाकर भोजन बनाया करो ।
उनकी आज्ञा पाकर श्री राधा रानी रोज कृष्ण के भोजन प्रसादी बनाने के लिए नन्द गाँव जाने लगे l

Once sage Durvasa came to shower. Shri Radharani was engrossed in child sports with her friends. By making a lie in small utensils, she was offering food to the favored Lord Shri Krishna. Seeing the sage, Radharani and Sakhis welcomed him with great love out of sanskar. He bowed to the sage and asked him to sit.
Sage Durvasa was very pleased with the love of the innocent little girls and sat down in the seat which he had laid.
The sage in whose service the triloki trembles due to the fear of error, Radharani and friends are doing the service of sage Durvasa with innocence with innocence. The sage smiled just looking at him.
The friends say – “Your Majesty! You know our dear Radha doesn’t make very good laddus. We have offered food. Give you prasad now.” Saying this the sakhis bring laddu prasad.
There is laddu prasad, but it is made of Brajraj, made in the game. Sage Durvasa is overwhelmed by his innocence.
Laughing says- “Lali.! Can I get prasad? Have you made this?”
All the friends say – “Yes, yes sage! This is made by Radha. You would not have eaten such laddus till today. As soon as it is put in the mouth, you become amazed, wordless.
One is the taste of Brajraj, the other is the touch of Shri Radha ji’s laddus. “Let the nectar fade, such a taste of laddus”
Tears well up in Rishi’s eyes. Very pleased, he calls Radharani nearby. And with great love, he blesses them by placing their hands on their heads – “Daughter from today you have become ‘Amrithasta’.
“Shriji is the owner of the world, she does not need anyone’s blessings, yet God accepted the blessings with dignity.
Rishi Durvasa said – Radha Rani, whatever you make will be more delicious than nectar.
Whoever gets that divine prasad, his fame, age will increase, no calamity will come on him, his fame will be in Triloki.
This thing spread like a fire in Vraj, as Rishi Durvasa blessed Radha ji.
When Maiya Yashoda came to know about this, she immediately went to Maiya Kirtida and begged that you should send Radha Rani to our house at Nand Bhawan to prepare food every day. Our mind is very worried if we get the prasad made by your daughter’s hands, then she will not be unfaithful, her strength, intelligence, age will increase.
Then Kirtija Maiya said to Shri Radha Rani ji – for fulfillment of Yasoda Maiya’s wish, go to Nand village every day and prepare food.
After getting his permission, Shri Radha Rani started going to Nand village every day to make food Prasad for Krishna.
