राम दरअसल प्रत्येक रूप में एक आदर्श हैं । कहते हैं कि पूर्णावतार कृष्ण थे , कृष्ण सोलह कलाओं से युक्त थे वहीं श्री राम 12 कला विभूषित अवतार हैं परंतु जहां जगत में किसी भी आदर्श की बात आएगी वहाँ राम आयेंगे । आदर्श पति , आदर्श पुत्र, आदर्श भाई , आदर्श राजा …… इन सबके साथ साथ राम आदर्श मित्र भी थे और आदर्श शत्रु भी । महाभारत में युद्ध के तमाम नियम टूटे कौरवों की और से और धर्म पक्ष कहे जाने वाले पाण्डवों की और से भी परंतु राम – रावण युद्ध में राम ने शत्रुता को भी नियमवत वैसे ही निभाया जैसे मित्रता निभायी । राम का जीवन त्याग का भी उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण है । लंका का राज पाट जीतकर विभीषण को दे दिया , किष्किन्धा बाली से लेकर सुग्रीव को दे दी , अयोध्या का शासन प्रसन्नता पूर्वक भरत को सौंप दिया जबकि दशरथ स्वयं राम से कहते हैं कि तुम मेरे वचन को मानने के लिए बाध्य नहीं हो । अपने वचन की रक्षा के लिए कई लोगों ने त्याग किए परंतु पिता के वचनों की रक्षा के लिए ऐसा सर्वोच्च त्याग राम के ही वश का था ।
राम का आयोजन वस्तुतः उच्चतर मानव मूल्यों का आयोजन है । यह हमारी संस्कृति का आयोजन है, हमारे वृहद् मूल्यों का आयोजन है । यह आयोजन इस बात का भी है कि हमारे जीवन मूल्यों में जो संक्रमण हुआ है उससे निजात पाकर जो श्रेष्ठ जीवन पद्धति है उस और बढ़ा जाये । जहां लोक का तंत्र हो वहाँ लोकव्यवहार में शुचिता का समावेश करवाना भी राजा का ही कार्य है अन्यथा की स्थिति में लोकतंत्र में जिस ओर लोक जाएगा उसी ओर मुखिया को चलना ही होगा , उचित अथवा अनुचित फिर गौढ हो जाता है , अतः यह आयोजन राम की जीवन पद्धति की ओर बढ़ने का भी संदेश है ।
राम जहां भगवान हैं , वहीं भक्त भी हैं । राम जहां अत्यधिक संयमी हैं , वहीं क्रोध आने पर समस्त सागर को सुखा भी सकते हैं ।
राम जिनके भृकुटि विलास पर अगणित संसारों का निर्माण और ध्वंस हो जाता है वो भक्त के प्रेम में जूठे बेर खाते हैं , विछोह में पेड़ों और पत्तों से माता सीता का पता पूछते हैं ।
ऐसा अद्भुत नायक विरला है , ऐसे हमारे राम विरले हैं । ऐसे राम की सदा ही जय हो ।

Ram is actually an ideal in every form. It is said that Krishna was Purnavatar, Krishna was equipped with sixteen arts, whereas Shri Ram is an incarnation adorned with 12 arts, but wherever there is talk of any ideal in the world, Ram will come. Ideal husband, ideal son, ideal brother, ideal king… along with all these, Ram was an ideal friend as well as an ideal enemy. In the Mahabharata, all the rules of war were broken by the Kauravas and also by the Pandavas, who were called religious parties, but in the Ram-Ravan war, Ram maintained enmity as regularly as he maintained friendship. Ram’s life is also an excellent example of sacrifice. After winning the kingdom of Lanka, he gave it to Vibhishana, Kishkindha was given to Bali from Sugriva, the rule of Ayodhya was happily handed over to Bharat, while Dasharatha himself tells Ram that you are not bound to obey my word. Many people made sacrifices to protect their words, but only Ram was able to make such a supreme sacrifice to protect his father’s words.
Ram’s celebration is actually a celebration of higher human values. This is a celebration of our culture, a celebration of our larger values. This event is also about getting rid of the infection that has happened in our life values and enhancing the best way of life. Where there is a system of people, it is the duty of the king to incorporate purity in public behavior, otherwise in a democracy, whichever direction the people go, the head will have to go in that direction, right or wrong then becomes Gaud, hence this event is dedicated to Ram. There is also a message of moving towards a way of life.
While Ram is God, he is also a devotee. While Ram is extremely restrained, he can also dry up the entire ocean when he gets angry.
Ram, on whose whimsical glances, countless worlds are created and destroyed, eats false plums out of love for his devotee, and in separation asks the address of Mother Sita from trees and leaves.
Such a wonderful hero is rare, our Ram is rare. May such Ram always be victorious.
