श्री बूढा अमरनाथ जी चट्टानी

तीन ओर से घिरी सीमावर्ती पुंछ घाटी के उत्तरी भाग में पुंछ कस्बे से 23 किमी की दूरी पर स्थित बूढा अमरनाथ जी का मंदिर है।

श्री बूढा अमरनाथ चट्टानी जी की लगभग सहस्त्र वर्ष प्राचीन पवित्र कथा –

ऐसी मान्यता है कि सतयुग में लोरन की महारानी चंद्रिका प्रतिवर्ष पूर्णमासी को बाबा अमरनाथ जी की यात्रा करती थी। एक बार विपरीत परिस्थितियों के कारण नहीं जा पाई व शिव की उपासना पर बैठ गयी।

भगवान शिव ने वृद्ध साधु के रूप में महारानी को दर्शन दिये। महारानी पूजा में लीन हो गयीं व वृद्ध साधु अंतर्ध्यान हो गये। उसी समय से यह स्थल बूढे बाबा अमरनाथ जी के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है। बूढे बाबा अमरनाथ जी के दर्शन से सर्वकामनाएँ पूर्ण होती हैं। यह स्थल सभी धर्मों के लिए पवित्र स्थान है।

वैसे यह भी कहा जाता है कि भगवान शिव ने कश्मीर में स्थित अमरनाथ की गुफा में माता पार्वती को जो अमरता की कथा सुनाई थी उसका प्रारंभ बूढा अमरनाथ के स्थान से ही हुई थी और अब यह मान्यता है कि इस मंदिर के दर्शनों के बिना अमरनाथ की कथा ही नहीं, बल्कि अमरनाथ यात्रा भी अधूरी है।

मंदिरों की नगरी जम्मू से 246 किमी दूरी पर स्थित पुंछ घाटी के राजपुरा मंडी क्षेत्र, जहाँ तक पहुँचने के लिए किसी प्रकार की पैदल यात्रा नहीं करनी पड़ती है और जिसके साथ ही कश्मीर का क्षेत्र तथा बहुत ही सुंदर लोरन घाटी लगती है, में स्थित बूढा अमरनाथ का मंदिर चकमक पत्थर से बना हुआ है। यह सभी अन्य शिव मंदिरों से पूरी तरह से भिन्न है। मंदिर की चारदीवारी पर लकड़ी के काम की नक्काशी की गई है जो सदियों पुरानी बताई जाती है।

पीर पंजाल पर्वत श्रृंखला के कदमों में ही स्थित मंदिर के आसपास के पहाड़ सालभर बर्फ की सफेद चादर से ढँके रहते हैं जो सदा ही एक अद्भुत नजारा प्रस्तुत करते हैं। मंदिर के एक ओर लोरन दरिया भी बहता है जिसे ‘पुलस्त्य दरिया’ भी कहा जाता है और उसका पानी बर्फ से भी अधिक ठंडक लिए रहता है।

Since that time this place is famous by the name of old Baba Amarnath ji. All wishes are fulfilled by the darshan of old Baba Amarnath ji. This place is a holy place for all religions.

By the way, it is also said that the story of immortality that Lord Shiva narrated to Mother Parvati in the cave of Amarnath in Kashmir, started from the place of old Amarnath and now it is believed that without the darshan of this temple Amarnath Not only the story, but also the Amarnath Yatra is incomplete.

Budha is located in the Rajpura Mandi area of ​​the Poonch Valley, 246 km from the temple city of Jammu, which does not require any kind of foot travel to reach, and along which the area of ​​Kashmir and the very beautiful Loran Valley are located. The temple of Amarnath is made of flint. It is completely different from all other Shiva temples. The boundary wall of the temple has carved wooden work which is said to be centuries old.

Situated at the foot of the Pir Panjal mountain range, the mountains surrounding the temple are covered with a white sheet of snow throughout the year, which always presents a wonderful sight. The Loran river also flows on one side of the temple, which is also called ‘Pulastya river’ and its water is colder than snow.
