रो रो के बिताये है कई साल अयोध्या में,

इस राज की ममता में भाई से बिछोग किया,

ये भेद किया माँ ने और भाई सौतेले ने,

है लक्षमण बड़बाग़ी मरता प्रभु चरणों में,
मुझे मौत नहीं आती दुनिया के अँधेरे में,
