भगवान से अनन्य प्रेम

भगवान से अनन्य प्रेम एक ऐसी अमूल्य निधि है, जिसे पाकर संसार की अपार सम्पत्ति, उच्चाधिकार, विशाल वैभव और उच्च-कुल में जन्मसब कुछ पीछे छूट जाता है, रह जाती है सिर्फ दीवानगी ।

प्रेमरस में छकी मीरा नाचती और गाती

मेरे तो गिरधर गोपाल दूसरो न कोई ।
जाके सिर मोर मुकुट मेरो पति सोई ।।

मीरा की सखियां कहतीं–‘अरी बाबरी ! तू तो बेसुध होकर गा रही है । पर वह तेरा सांवरा कितना निष्ठुर है, जो कभी तेरे पास आता नहीं ।’

तब मीरा सखियों से कहती–‘मेरे गोपाल तो मेरे साथ ही नाचते हैं’—‘सखी री मेरे संग संग नाचे गोपाल ।’

जब भक्त भगवान के लिए व्याकुल हो जाता है, तब भगवान भी उससे मिलने के लिए वैसे ही व्याकुल हो उठते हैं । भक्त भगवान को बाध्य कर देता है । मीरा के निकट भगवान को बाध्य होकर आना पड़ा । मीरा को नृत्यावस्था में उन्मत्त देख भगवान रणछोड़राय जी ने अपनी हृदयेश्वरी को अपने हृदय में विराजमान कर लिया । मीरा सदेह उनके श्रीविग्रह में विलीन हो गई—

गिरधर के तन से मिल्यो, ललित चूनरी छोर ।
काहू कोनहिं लखि परयो मीरा गई किस ओर ।।

लोग ठगे से अवाक् रह गए । मीरा की चुनरी और भगवान के पीताम्बर का अमिट गठजोड़ हो गया । कौन किससे मिला, यह कहना कठिन है । भक्तों को ऐसे दिव्य मिलन की याद दिलाने के लिए मीरा की मतवाली चूनर का छोर लहराता रहा ।भगवान से एकाकार होने का एक और बहुत सुंदर उदाहरण देवी आण्डाल का है, जिंन्हें ‘दक्षिण भारत की मीरा’ कहा जाता है । भगवान में प्रेम की लगन जब लग जाती है, तब उसका माधुर्य इतना हृदयस्पर्शी होता है कि उसका अनुभव सिर्फ प्रेमी-भक्त ही कर सकता है । भगवान रंगनाथ के प्रेम में मतवाली होकर देवी आण्डाल ने मन्दिर में प्रवेश किया और भगवान की शेषशय्या पर चढ़ गयीं । चारों ओर दिव्य प्रकाश फैल गया और लोगों के देखते-ही-देखते आण्डाल सबके सामने भगवान रंगनाथ में विलीन हो गयी । प्रेमी और प्रेमास्पद एक हो गए और आण्डाल अब रंगनायकी बन गयी ।

Meera’s friends used to say – ‘Hey Babri! You are singing unconsciously. But how cruel is that friend of yours, who never comes to you.

Then Meera would say to her friends – ‘My Gopal dances with me only’ – ‘Friends, Gopal dances with me.’

When the devotee becomes desperate for God, then God also becomes equally desperate to meet him. The devotee forces God. God was forced to come near Meera. Seeing Meera in a frenzy of dancing, Lord Ranchhodrai ji placed his Hridayeshwari in his heart. Mira’s body merged into his idol –

People were stunned by the fraud. An indelible alliance was formed between Meera’s Chunari and God’s Pitambar. It is difficult to say who met whom. To remind the devotees of such a divine union, the tip of Meera’s drunken chunar kept waving. Another very beautiful example of becoming one with God is that of Goddess Andal, who is called ‘Meera of South India’. When there is a devotion of love for God, then its sweetness becomes so heart-touching that only a lover-devotee can experience it. Being intoxicated with the love of Lord Ranganath, Goddess Andal entered the temple and climbed onto the Lord’s remaining bed. Divine light spread all around and in front of the people, Aandal merged into Lord Ranganath in front of everyone. The lover and the beloved became one and Andal now became the heroine.
