एक दिन की बात है, सभी भगवान् के गुण और प्रभाव की बातें करने लगीं, उसी में प्रेम की भी बात करने लगीं कि भगवान् का किसके साथ कैसा प्रेम है ? सबने यही निर्णय किया कि सबसे अधिक प्रेम राधाजी का है, इसके बाद एक सखी को दरवाजे के ऊपर फाटक पर बैठा दिया और कह दिया कि बाहर से किसी को मत आने देना, भगवान् भी आयें तो उनको रोक देना | भीतर राधारानी बैठी हैं, और भी सब सखियाँ बैठी है, आपस में से एक कहती है कि मुझे क्या रोग लग गया मैं उसे भुलाना चाहती हूँ फिर भी नहीं भुला सकती | मुझ पर किसी ने जादू कर दिया | रात और दिन मैं पागल-सी घूमा करती हूँ, मेरा यह पागलपन दूर कैसे हो | देखती हूँ कि भगवान् के मिलने के सिवाय इसकी कोई दवा नहीं है |
किसी ने कहा – कृष्ण इतने काले क्यों हो गये ? इसके उतर में एक सखी कहती है कि हम लोग अपनी आँखों में काजल डालती हैं न और वे हमारी उन्हीं आँखों में बसते हैं इसी से हमारे काजल से वे काले हो गये | इस प्रकार से वे विनोद किया करती थीं |
एक सखी ने कहा कि सखी ! मैं उन्हें कभी भुला नहीं सकती | वे रात-दिन मेरे ह्रदय में बसे रहते हैं, कहीं ऐसा नहीं हो जाय कि मैं श्रीकृष्ण को याद करती-करती कृष्णमय बन जाऊँ, दूसरी सखी बोली – बन जा तो इसमें क्या हानि है ? तू रात-दिन श्रीकृष्ण की याद करती है और श्रीकृष्ण रात-दिन तुमको याद करते हैं क्योंकि उनका नियम है —
ये यथा मां प्रपद्यन्ते तांस्तथैव भजाभ्यह्म |

‘जो जैसे मुझे भजते हैं मैं भी उनको वैसे ही भजता हूँ |’
जब तू कृष्ण बन जायगी तो वे गोपी बन जायँगे | तुम्हारा दाम्पत्य-प्रेम तो कायम रहेगा ही | इसलिये तुम्हे चिन्ता नहीं करनी चाहिये | इस प्रकार कोई कुछ, कोई कुछ बात कर रही हैं | इतने में वहाँ फाटक पर भगवान् आ गये | उन्हें सखी ने यह कहकर रोक दिया कि राधारानी की आज्ञा है कि भीतर कोई न आये | कृष्ण ने कहा – तो जाओ आज्ञा ले लो, कह दो कि श्रीकृष्ण आये हैं | उसने कहा – अच्छा, आप यहीं ठहरिये, मैं पूछकर आती हूँ | भगवान् वहाँ ठहर गये और वह पूछने गयी |

It is a matter of one day, everyone started talking about God’s qualities and influence, in the same time they also started talking about love, what kind of love does God have with whom? Everyone decided that the most love is for Radhaji, after that a friend was made to sit on the gate above the door and said that do not let anyone come from outside, even if God comes, stop him. Radharani is sitting inside, all other friends are also sitting, one of them says what disease I have got, I want to forget it, still I cannot forget it. Somebody cast a spell on me. Night and day I wander madly, how can this madness of mine go away? I see that there is no medicine for this except meeting God.
Someone said – Why has Krishna become so dark? In response to this, a friend says that we put kajal in our eyes and they reside in our eyes, that is why they became black due to our kajal. This is how she used to joke.
A friend said that friend! I can never forget them. He resides in my heart day and night, lest it should happen that I become Krishnamaya while remembering Shri Krishna, another friend said – If I do, then what is the harm in it? You remember Shri Krishna day and night and Shri Krishna remembers you day and night because His rule is–
Ye yatha maa prapadyante tanstathaiva bhajabhyahm |

‘I worship those who worship me in the same way.’
When you become Krishna, they will become Gopis. Your conjugal love will last forever. That’s why you should not worry. In this way some are talking something, some are talking. Meanwhile, God came there at the gate. Sakhi stopped him by saying that Radharani has ordered that no one should come inside. Krishna said – then go take orders, tell that Shri Krishna has come. She said – Ok, you stay here, I will come after asking. God stopped there and she went to ask.
