गतांक से आगे-
“भक्ति को गुप्त रखना चाहिये , मेरी भक्ति का प्रचार प्रसार हो ऐसी कामना निन्दनीय है”।
इस सिद्धांत के थे कोकिल साँई । कभी अपनी भक्ति को प्रकट होने नही दिया । बहुत छुपा कर रखा था ….सत्संग में भी ज्ञान की चर्चा ही करते थे ताकि उनके अन्दर का प्रेम भक्ति प्रकट ना हो …इनका मानना था ज्ञान ठीक है ….ज्ञान की चर्चा ज्ञान के सत्संग से मोह आदि कम होते हैं ….पर भक्ति को समझाया नही जा सकता ….प्रेम को तर्क के द्वारा सिद्ध नही किया जा सकता है ….ये तो भक्त के भीतर का आनन्द है …अनुभव की वस्तु है …..उसका प्रचार करोगे तो हानि ही है तुम्हारी ।
किन्तु , “प्रेम छुपाये ना छुपे”। ये भी सत्य है …आप कितना छुपाओगे ? वो प्रेम की तरंग जो भीतर हिलोरें ले रही है …उसकी कुछ बूँदे तो बाहर आएँगी ही ना , आपके पास जो भी बैठा है उस पर तो पड़ेंगी ही ना !
द्वारिका से कोकिल जी अपने साधकों के साथ फिर मीरपुर आगये थे ।
सत्संग, दरबार में फिर चल पड़ा था पर अब ज्ञान की चर्चा इनसे होती नही थी ….वेदान्त के ग्रन्थ इन्हें अब भाते नही थे ….”सोहम” कहते तो थे …पर चर्चा करने लगते चैतन्य महाप्रभु की …”ब्रह्मास्मि” कहते , पर चर्चा शुरू करते मीरा बाई जी की …..सत्संग का रूप बदल गया था अब …भीतर जो है वो बाहर आरहा था ।
साँई ! इस दरबार में ज्ञान की ही चर्चा होती है …आप ये भक्ति की चर्चा क्यों कर रहे हैं ।
इस दरबार में वेदान्त आदि के ग्रन्थ ही सत्संग के मूल में हैं …फिर आप प्रेम भक्ति को सर्वोच्च बता रहे हैं । चरणों में वन्दन करते हुये मीरपुर दरबार के महन्त जी ने कोकिल साँई से प्रार्थना की थी । मुझ से अब ज्ञान की चर्चा होगी नही …मुझे क्षमा करो । मैं आपके दरबार के लायक़ अब रहा नही …इसलिये मैं अब सत्संग नही करूँगा …क्यों की भक्ति की चर्चा , मेरी अब मजबूरी है ……जैसे किसी लड़की को लड़के से प्यार हो जाता है तो उसे कोई लाख समझाये वो समझ नही पाती है …..ऐसे ही मैं भी अब समझ नही पा रहा हूँ क्यों कि मुझे भी प्यार हो गया है ।
मीरपुर के , नित्य के सत्संगियों ने जब सुना की कोकिल साँई अब सत्संग नही करेंगे !
उन सबको बड़ा कष्ट हुआ ….उन्होंने जाकर कोकिल साँई के चरण पकड़ लिये ….और सबने एक स्वर में कहा …आप ही सत्संग करें ..और हमें भी इस प्रेम मार्ग का पथिक बनावें ।
भक्ति का मार्ग हम सबको बतावें , हे साँई ! कैसे हम भक्ति में उन्नत हों ….हम भी आपकी तरह ही प्रभु के लिये रोना चाहते हैं ….उनसे मिलने की तड़फ हमारे अन्दर भी जागे , इसके लिये हम क्या करें ? सैकड़ों साधकों ने आकर प्रार्थना की थी …..तब कोकिल साँई ने सबको अपने हृदय से लगाया और कहा …भक्ति बहुत सुंदर है …भक्ति अद्भुत वस्तु है …भक्ति आपके हृदय को स्वच्छ बनाकर उसमें ठाकुर जी को बिठा देती है । अब कल से सत्संग का रूप बदल जाएगा…..कल सब आना दरबार में । कोकिल जी ने सबको आज्ञा दे दी ।
दरबार का सुंदर बगीचा था उसी बगीचे में अब सत्संग होने लगा …सुबह के समय भगवान की मधुर कथाओं को कोकिल साँई सुनाते ….भगवान श्रीराघवेंद्र सरकार की कथा ….भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की कथा …भक्तों के दृष्टान्त के माध्यम से भक्ति इनकी कैसेकरनी चाहिये ….रूप गोस्वामी , सन्त तुकाराम , नरसी मेहता आदि के दृष्टान्तों द्वारा भक्ति का स्वरूप बताते और सायंकाल के समय सब साधकों को बगीचे में दूर दूर बैठाकर ध्यान करवाते ..भक्ति का ध्यान तो लीला चिन्तन ही है ….ये सब साधक वही करते । कोकिल साँई सच्चे सदगुरु थे …वो ध्यान करवाके जाने के लिये नही कहते ..उनसे लीला चिन्तन क्या हुआ है ,आज क्या लीला चिन्तन किया – ये भी सुनते ।
सब आनंदित थे ..कोकिल साँई जैसे सदगुरु को पाकर, मीरपुर धन्य हो उठा था ।
सायंकाल का दृश्य देखने जैसा होता था ….कोई आम के वृक्ष के नीचे बैठकर ध्यान कर रहा है ….उसके ध्यान में कन्हैया आरहे हैं वो कुछ लीला कर रहे हैं ….भक्त आनंदित हो उठा है …
किसी के लीला चिन्तन में भगवान श्रीराम सिया जू और लक्ष्मण भाई वनवास में जा रहे हैं ….प्यास लगती है ….तो गाँव के लोग हैं जल पिला रहे हैं …वो साधक भी अपने आपको लीला में जोड़कर भगवान को जल पिला रहा है ।
कोई साधक लीला चिन्तन में देख रहा है ….मथुरा में श्रीकृष्ण का आज यज्ञोंपवीत संस्कार है …श्रीकृष्ण से कहा – सबसे पहले अपनी माता से भिक्षा माँगों ।
श्रीकृष्ण चारों ओर देखते हैं ….उन्हें अपनी मैया दिखाई नही देतीं …..वो पुकारते हैं ..मैया ! मैया ! पर मथुरा की भीड़ हंसती है ……देवकी वहीं तो हैं …पर कन्हैया तो अपनी मैया यशोदा को खोज रहे हैं …..ये लीला चिन्तन साधक कर रहा था , कोकिल साँई ने देखा वो हिलकियों से रो रहा है ….अब तो उसकी साँसें अटकने लगी थी ….तभी कोकिल साँई उस साधक के ध्यान में चले गये ..और बोले पगले ! कन्हैया तो मैया यशोदा की गोद में ही हैं ….देख ! और उस साधक ने देखा की मैया की गोद में बैठे हैं कन्हैया ….और कह रहे हैं अब मैं मथुरा कभी नही जाऊँगा ।
इस तरह अपने साधकों को तैयार कर रहे थे कोकिल साँई ……..
तभी किसी साधक ने आकर कोकिल जी को कहा ……आज मेरे लीला चिन्तन में तो बड़ा ही दुःख बरसा …..कोकिल जी ने पूछा क्या हुआ ! ऐसा क्या दुःख बरसा ।
“सीता माता का त्याग कर दिया श्रीराम ने । वो कितना रो रही थीं” ।
इसी लीला ने तो कोकिल जी के कोमल मन में , बाल्यावस्था से ही गहरी छाप छोड़ी थी ।
फिर क्या था ….हा सिया जू , हा स्वामिनी , हा किशोरी ! यही कहते हुये कोकिल साँई मूर्छित हो गये …..उनकी मूर्च्छा दो दिन तक रही ….सब साधकों के प्राण अटके हुये थे , सबको लग रहा था कि कहीं उनके प्यारे साँई को कुछ हो न जाये ।
दो दिन बाद इनकी जब मूर्च्छा खुली तो कोकिल जी ने कहा …….हरिद्वार चलो …..गंगा स्नान करके हम लोग अब अयोध्या जाएँगे ….
अयोध्या क्यों ?
कोकिल जी बोले …अब राजाराम सरकार से ही हिसाब किताब होगा …..उन्होंने क्यों किया सिया जू का परित्याग ?
साधकों के साथ हरिद्वार के लिये कोकिल जी चल पड़े थे ……..इनके साथ अनेक साधक थे …जो इनको बड़े सम्भाल के साथ लेकर चल रहे थे ।
हरिद्वार पहुँचे …वहाँ गंगा जी में इन्होंने स्नान किया ..सबने स्नान किया ।
भगवान के मंगलमय नाम का संकीर्तन सब लोग करने लगे …कोकिल जी को आवेश आगया …वो हिलकियों से सिया जू ! सिया जू ! कहकर रोने लगे थे …..
ये क्या नाटक है ?
भगवान कोई हाथ पैर आँख कान वाला थोड़े ही है ..निर्गुण निराकार है । किसी ज्ञानी ने इन सबको गंगा के किनारे रोते बिलखते हुये देखा तो कह दिया ।
“क्या वो निराकार अपने जनों के लिए साकार नही बन सकता ? “ कोकिल जी उनसे पूछ रहे थे ।
वो निरुत्तर होकर वहाँ से चला गया …..कोकिल जी को दुःख हुआ कहीं मेरे इस वाक्य से उनके हृदय में कष्ट तो नही पहुँचा !
तभी किसी ने कह दिया तीर्थ में आकर कुछ छोड़ना चाहिये …साँई ! आप क्या छोड़ोगे ?
कोकिल साँई ने उन्हीं से पूछा …पहले आप लोग छोड़ो ……
किसी ने कहा ..मैं झूठ छोड़ता हूँ …किसी ने कहा ..मैं कोई दम्भ नही करूँगा ..मैं दम्भ छोड़ता हूँ …किसी ने कहा ..मैं क्रोध छोड़ता हूँ …..
तब कोकिल साँई ने गंगा जी में उतर कर हाथ में गंगा जल लेकर कहा …”मैं आज से ज्ञान को छोड़ता हूँ” ….आज से बस भक्ति और प्रेम की चर्चा होगी …..
सब देखते रह गये थे ।
चलो अब ….हमारे पाप धुल गये अब हम श्रीराजाराम के दरबार में जाएँगे …
ऐसा कहकर अयोध्या के लिये सब लोग हरिद्वार से चल पड़े थे ।
कोकिल साँई विरक्त थे …महात्मा थे …..उन्होंने विवाह नही किया था ।
इसके बाद भी वो विरक्त या महात्माओं के भेष में नही रहते थे ..वो सेठों के जैसे भेष भूषा में रहते थे । उन सिन्धी भक्त ने हमें बताया ।
क्यों ! ऐसा क्यों ? गौरांगी ने पूछा ।
इसलिये कि उनके कोई पैर न छुए ….इनका मानना था – भक्तों को अपने पैर नही छुवाने चाहिये …..इससे हमारे भजन का नाश होता है और उनके रोगादि हमारे पास आजाते हैं ।
वो सिन्धी भक्त हमें बता रहे थे कि कभी कभी कोकिल साँई बीमार पड़ जाते तो हमसे कहते …किसी ने आज मेरे साथ दग़ा किया है ….अवश्य मेरे पैर किसी ने छुए हैं ।
अयोध्या में जाकर क्या हुआ ? कोकिल जी श्रीधाम वृन्दावन कब आए ? और क्यों आए ?
गौरांगी कहती है …मेरा यही मूल प्रश्न है …पर आप उसका उत्तर ही नही दे रहे …
अरे ! जिनकी निष्ठा सीता राम जी में है वो श्रीधाम वृन्दावन का अखण्ड वास क्यों करे ?
वो सिन्धी भक्त मुस्कुराये फिर बोले –
अयोध्या के लिये जब कोकिल जी का पूरा साधक समाज चल पड़ा था …उस समय कोकिल जी पूरी तरह से भाव में डूबे हुये थे …..वो बस सिया जू ! सिया जू ! यही पुकार रहे थे ….ये कोकिल जी कोई राजा राम के दर्शन के लिये थोड़े ही जा रहे थे अयोध्या , ये तो अपनी सिया जू के लिये जा रहे थे ….सिया जू की बात अयोध्यानाथ के सामने रखने जा रहे थे …ये पूछने जा रहे थे कि धोबी की बात मान सकते हो किन्तु सिया जू का रोम रोम जब इसकी गवाही दे रहा है कि वो महान सती हैं , वो सतियों की भी सती हैं ….फिर उनकी बात क्यों नही मानी जा रही ? धोबी प्रजा है …तो अब सिया जू भी आपकी प्रजा ही हो गयीं हैं …अब तो उनकी सुनो ।
सिन्धी भक्त के नेत्र सजल हो गये थे …..ये भक्ति का मार्ग सच में विलक्षण है …अद्भुत है …आज कोकिल जी अपनी सिया जू को न्याय दिलाने के लिये अयोध्या जा रहे हैं।
भक्त को समझना सच में बड़ा कठिन है …..कोई भक्त हृदय ही भक्त को समझ सकता है ।
उन सिन्धी भक्त का कहना था , और सच ही तो कहा था ।

“Devotion should be kept secret, such a wish that my devotion should be spread is condemnable”.
Kokil Sai was of this principle. He never allowed his devotion to appear. Kept a lot hidden…. used to discuss knowledge even in satsangs so that the love and devotion inside them did not appear…. They believed that knowledge is right…. Love cannot be explained….Love cannot be proved by logic….It is the inner joy of the devotee…It is a matter of experience…..If you promote it then it will be your loss.
But, “love should not be hidden”. This is also true… how much will you hide? That wave of love that is taking waves inside… at least a few drops of it will come out, won’t they fall on whoever is sitting near you!
From Dwarka, Kokil ji had come to Mirpur again with his devotees.
Satsang was going on again in the court, but now knowledge was not discussed with him….Vedanta books were not liked by him….He used to say “Soham”…but used to discuss Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s “Brahmasmi”, but While starting the discussion of Meera Bai ji… the form of the satsang had changed now… what is inside was coming out.
Sai! In this court only knowledge is discussed… why are you discussing this devotion.
In this court, the books of Vedanta etc. are at the root of satsang… Then you are telling love and devotion to be supreme. While paying obeisance at the feet, Mahantji of Mirpur Darbar prayed to Kokil Sai. Now there will be no discussion of knowledge with me… I am sorry. I am no longer worthy of your court… That’s why I will not do satsang anymore… Why talk about devotion, I have compulsion now… Like a girl falls in love with a boy, if someone explains a million things to her, she does not understand…. Similarly, I am also not able to understand now because I have also fallen in love.
When the daily satsangis of Mirpur heard that Kokil Sai would no longer do satsangs!
All of them felt great pain….they went and took hold of the feet of Kokil Sai….and all said in one voice…you only do satsang…and make us also the wanderers of this path of love.
Show us the path of devotion, O Sai! How can we progress in devotion….we also want to cry for GOD just like you….what should we do to make the yearning to meet Him awaken in us too? Hundreds of sadhaks had come and prayed… Then Kokil Sai hugged everyone with his heart and said… Devotion is very beautiful… Devotion is a wonderful thing… Devotion makes your heart clean and makes Thakur ji sit in it. Now from tomorrow the form of satsang will change…..tomorrow everyone will come to the court. Kokil ji gave orders to everyone.
There was a beautiful garden of the court, now satsang is being held in the same garden… Kokil Sai narrates the sweet stories of God in the morning….The story of Lord Shri Raghavendra Sarkar….The story of Lord Krishna…How to worship him through the example of the devotees…. Through the examples of Roop Goswami, Saint Tukaram, Narsi Mehta etc., he used to explain the nature of devotion and in the evening he used to make all the sadhaks sit far away in the garden to meditate. Kokil Sai was a true Sadguru… He does not ask to go after meditation.
Everyone was happy.. Mirpur was blessed to have a Sadguru like Kokil Sai.
Evening scene was like to see….Someone is meditating sitting under the mango tree….Kanhaiya is coming in his meditation, he is doing some leela….The devotee has become blissful…
Lord Shri Ram Siya Ju and Laxman Bhai are going to exile in the thought of someone’s leela….they feel thirsty….so the people of the village are giving them water…that seeker is also giving water to God by adding himself to the leela.
Some seeker is watching Leela in contemplation…. Today in Mathura, Shri Krishna’s sacrificial ceremony is being performed… Told Shri Krishna – First of all beg from your mother.
Shri Krishna looks all around….he does not see his mother…..he calls out..mother! Mother! But the crowd of Mathura laughs……Devki is there…But Kanhaiya is searching for his mother Yashoda….Sadhak was thinking about this Leela, Kokil Sai saw that he is crying bitterly….Now he is breathing She started getting stuck….that’s why Kokiel Sai went into the meditation of that seeker..and said you are crazy! Kanhaiya is in the lap of mother Yashoda only….look! And that seeker saw that Kanhaiya is sitting on mother’s lap….and is saying that now I will never go to Mathura.
This is how Kokil Sai was preparing his devotees…..
That’s why some seeker came and said to Kokil ji…… Today there was a lot of sorrow in my Leela Chintan….. Kokil ji asked what happened! What a sorrow
“Shri Ram abandoned mother Sita. She was crying so much.
This Leela had left a deep impression on Kokil ji’s soft mind, right from his childhood.
What was it then….Ha Siya Joo, Ha Swamini, Ha Kishori! Saying this, Kokil Sai fainted….He fainted for two days….The lives of all the sadhaks were stuck, everyone was feeling that something might happen to their beloved Sai.
After two days, when he lost consciousness, Kokil ji said…..let’s go to Haridwar…..we will go to Ayodhya after taking bath in the Ganges….
Why Ayodhya?
Kokil ji said… Now the accounts will be settled with the Rajaram government itself….. Why did he abandon Siya Ju?
Kokil ji had left for Haridwar with the sadhaks…..there were many sadhaks with him…who were carrying him with great care.
Reached Haridwar…there they took bath in Ganga ji…all took bath.
Everyone started chanting the auspicious name of God… Kokil ji was in awe… She was shaking with shudders! Siya Ju! Started crying saying….
What drama is this?
God is not having any hands, feet, eyes and ears.. Nirgun is formless. When some wise man saw all of them crying and wailing on the banks of the Ganges, he said.
“Can the formless not become corporeal for his people? ′′ Kokil ji was asking him.
He went away without answering….. Kokil ji felt sad, did this sentence of mine hurt his heart?
That’s why someone said that one should leave something after coming to the pilgrimage… Sai! what will you leave
Kokil Sai asked him… first you guys leave…
Someone said..I give up lying…Someone said..I will not do any arrogance..I give up arrogance…Someone said..I give up anger…..
Then Kokil Sai got into Ganga ji and took Ganga water in his hand and said…..from today onwards I give up knowledge”….From today only devotion and love will be discussed…..
Everyone kept watching.
Chalo Ab….Hamare Paap Dhul Gaye Ab Hum Srirajaram Ke Darbar Mein Jaayenge…
Having said this, everyone left Haridwar for Ayodhya.
Kokil Sai was detached…was a Mahatma…..he did not marry.
Even after this, he did not live in the disguise of a saint or a Mahatma. He used to live in the disguise of a Seth. That Sindhi devotee told us.
Why ! Why so ? Gaurangi asked.
Because no one should touch their feet… They believed that devotees should not touch their feet… This destroys our bhajans and brings their diseases to us.
Those Sindhi devotees were telling us that sometimes Kokil Sai would have fallen ill, then they would have told us…someone has betrayed me today….somebody must have touched my feet.
What happened after going to Ayodhya? When did Kokil ji come to Shridham Vrindavan? And why did you come?
Gaurangi says… this is my basic question… but you are not answering it at all…
Hey ! Whose loyalty is in Sita Ram ji, why should he stay in Shridham Vrindavan for an unbroken life?
That Sindhi devotee smiled and then said –
When the whole seeker community of Kokil ji had set out for Ayodhya… at that time Kokil ji was completely engrossed in feelings…..that was just Siya Ju! Siya Ju! This is what they were calling….This Kokil ji was not going to Ayodhya to see King Ram, he was going for his Siya Ju….Siya Ju was going to put it in front of Ayodhya Nath…Go to ask They were saying that you can listen to the washerman, but when Siya Ju’s Rome Rome is testifying that she is a great Sati, she is also the Sati of the Satis….then why are her words not being accepted? Dhobi is a subject… So now Siya Ju has also become your subject… Now listen to her.
The eyes of the Sindhi devotee became bright…..This path of devotion is really unique…It is wonderful…Today Kokil ji is going to Ayodhya to get justice for his Siya Ju.
It is really very difficult to understand a devotee… Only a devotee’s heart can understand a devotee.
It was said by that Sindhi devotee, and he told the truth.
