सीता नवमी जानकी जयंती आज

जनकसुता जग जननि जानकी।
अतिसय प्रिय करुनानिधान की॥

ताके जुग पद कमल मनावउँ।
जासु कृपाँ निरमल मति पावउँ॥

भावार्थ- राजा जनकसुता,नारी शक्ति की अमिट छबी जगत् की माता और करुणा निधान श्री रामचन्द्रजी की प्रियतमा श्री जानकीजी के दोनों चरण कमलों को मैं मनाता हूँ, जिनकी कृपा से निर्मल बुद्धि पाऊँ॥

राजा जनक ने ऋषयो की सलाह से स्वयं हल चलाया था मान्यता है कि बिहार स्थित सीतामढी का पुनोरा नामक ये गाँव है। हल की नोक को सीत कहते है।

सीत से जन्मी सीता-

वैसाख मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की नवमी को सीता नवमी या जानकी नवमी के रूप मे मनाया जाता है। धर्म ग्रंथो के अनुसार इसी दिन सीताजी का प्राकट्य हुआ था ।मान्यता है कि जो भी उस दिन व्रत रखता है, और रामजी सहित सीताजी का विधि विधान से पूजा करता है, उसे पृथ्वी दान सोलह महान दान तथा सभी तिर्थो के दर्शन का फल अपने आप मिलता है।इसलिए इस दिन व्रत करने का विशेष महत्व है।

सीता जी का जन्मदिन फाल्गुन मास के कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी को भी मनाया जाता है, साथ ही वैशाख मास के शुक्लपक्ष की नवमी तिथि को भी जानकी जयंती के रूप मे मनाया जाता है। रामायण के अनुसार वे वैसाख में अवतरित हुई थी।किन्तु निर्णयसिन्धु के कल्पतरू ग्रंथनुसार फाल्गुन माह के कृष्णपक्ष के दिन हुआ था।

अतः दोनो तिथियाँ को सीताष्टमी के नाम से जाना जाता है।जो हिन्दू धर्म मे पवित्र मानी जाती है।

Meaning- I celebrate both the lotus feet of King Janaksuta, the indelible image of female power, the mother of the world and the beloved mother of Shri Ramchandraji’s compassionate care, by whose grace I can have a pure intellect. King Janak himself had started the solution with the advice of the sages, it is believed that this is a village named Punora of Sitamarhi located in Bihar. The tip of the plow is called the seat.

Sita born from Sita- , The Navami of Shukla Paksha of Vaisakh month is celebrated as Sita Navami or Janaki Navami. According to religious texts, Sitaji appeared on this day. It is believed that whoever observes a fast on that day, and worships Sitaji along with Ramji according to the law, will be given sixteen great donations of earth and the fruits of all pilgrimages. That’s why fasting on this day has special significance.

Sita ji’s birthday is also celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha of Falgun month, as well as on the ninth date of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month as Janaki Jayanti. According to the Ramayana, she was incarnated in Vaisakh. But according to the Kalpataru texts of Sindhu, it was on the day of Krishna Paksha of Falgun month.

Therefore, both the dates are known as Sita Ashtami. which is considered sacred in Hinduism.
