एक समय मोची का काम करने वाले व्यक्ति को रात में भगवान ने सपना दिया और कहा कि कल सुबह मैं तुझसे मिलने तेरी दुकान पर आऊंगा।
मोची की दुकान काफी छोटी थी और उसकी आमदनी भी काफी सीमित थी। खाना खाने के बर्तन भी थोड़े से थे। इसके बावजूद वो अपनी जिंदगी से खुश रहता था।
एक सच्चा, ईमानदार और परोपकार करने वाला इंसान था। इसलिए ईश्वर ने उसकी परीक्षा लेने का निर्णय लिया।
मोची ने सुबह उठते ही तैयारी शुरू कर दी। भगवान को चाय पिलाने के लिए दूध, चायपत्ती और नाश्ते के लिए मिठाई ले आया। दुकान को साफ कर वह भगवान का इंतजार करने लगा। उस दिन सुबह से भारी बारिश हो रही थी। थोड़ी देर में उसने देखा कि एक सफाई करने वाली बारिश के पानी में भीगकर ठिठुर रही है।
मोची को उसके ऊपर बड़ी दया आई और भगवान के लिए लाए गये दूध से उसको चाय बनाकर पिलाई।
दिन गुजरने लगा। दोपहर बारह बजे एक महिला बच्चे को लेकर आई और कहा कि मेरा बच्चा भूखा है इसलिए पीने के लिए दूध चाहिए। मोची ने सारा दूध उस बच्चे को पीने के लिए दे दिया। इस तरह से शाम के चार बज गए। मोची दिनभर बड़ी बेसब्री से भगवान का इंतजार करता रहा।
तभी एक बूढ़ा आदमी जो चलने से लाचार था आया और कहा कि मै भूखा हूं और अगर कुछ खाने को मिल जाए तो बड़ी मेहरबानी होगी। मोची ने उसकी बेबसी को समझते हुए मिठाई उसको दे दी। इस तरह से दिन बीत गया और रात हो गई।
रात होते ही मोची के सब्र का बांध टूट गया और वह भगवान को उलाहना देते हुए बोला कि “वाह रे भगवान सुबह से रात कर दी मैंने तेरे इंतजार में लेकिन तू वादा करने के बाद भी नहीं आया। क्या मैं गरीब ही तुझे बेवकूफ बनाने के लिए मिला था।”
तभी आकाशवाणी हुई और भगवान ने कहा कि ” मैं आज तेरे पास एक बार नहीं, तीन बार आया और तीनों बार तेरी सेवाओं से बहुत खुश हुआ। और तू मेरी परीक्षा में भी पास हुआ है, क्योंकि तेरे मन में परोपकार और त्याग का भाव सामान्य मानव की सीमाओं से परे हैं।”
इस कहानी से हमको यह शिक्षा मिलती है कि किसी भी मजबूर या ऐसा व्यक्ति जिसको आपकी मदद की जरूरत है उसकी मदद जरूर करना चाहिए। क्योंकि शास्त्रों में कहा गया है कि ‘नर सेवा ही नारायण सेवा है’। और मदद की उम्मीद रखने वाले, जरूरतमंद और लाचार लोग धरती पर भगवान की तरह होते हैं। जिनकी सेवा से सुकून के साथ एक अलग संतुष्टी का एहसास होता है।
Once God gave a dream to a person working as a cobbler and said that tomorrow morning I will come to your shop to meet you.
The cobbler’s shop was very small and his income was also very limited. The utensils for eating food were also few. Despite this, he was happy with his life.
He was a genuine, honest and charitable person. So God decided to test him.
The cobbler started preparing as soon as he got up in the morning. He brought milk, tea leaves and sweets for breakfast to give tea to God. After cleaning the shop, he started waiting for God. It had been raining heavily since that morning. After a while he saw a sweeper getting drenched in rain water and shivering.
The cobbler took great pity on him and made him drink tea from the milk brought for God.
The day began to pass. At twelve o’clock in the afternoon a woman brought the child and said that my child is hungry, so milk is needed to drink. The cobbler gave all the milk to the child to drink. Thus it was four o’clock in the evening. The cobbler was eagerly waiting for the Lord throughout the day.
Then an old man who was helpless from walking came and said that I am hungry and if I get something to eat then it will be very kind. Realizing his helplessness, the cobbler gave him sweets. In this way the day passed and it became night. By nightfall, the cobbler’s patience broke and he said, “Wow, God, I have waited for you from morning to night, but you did not come even after promising you. Am I poor only to fool you?” was found.”
Then the Akashvani came and God said that “I came to you today not once but thrice and I was very happy with your services all three times. And you have also passed my test, because in your mind the spirit of charity and sacrifice is normal. are beyond human limits.”
From this story, we get the lesson that any helpless or such person who needs your help must be helped. Because it is said in the scriptures that ‘Nar service is Narayan service’. And those who hope for help, the needy and the helpless are like God on earth. Whose service gives a feeling of a different satisfaction with comfort.
