चार मिले चौंसठ खिले, बीस रहे कर जोड़!
प्रेमी सज्जन दो मिले, खिल गए सात करोड़!!
मुझसे एक बुजुर्गवार ने इस कहावत का अर्थ पूछा…. काफी सोच-विचार के बाद भी जब मैं बता नहीं पाया, तो मैंने कहा – “बाबा आप ही बताइए, मेरी समझ में तो कुछ नहीं आ रहा !”
तब एक रहस्यमयी मुस्कान के साथ बाबा समझाने लगे – “देखो बेटे, यह बड़े रहस्य की बात है…
चार मिले – मतलब जब भी कोई मिलता है, तो सबसे पहले आपस में दोनों की आंखें मिलती हैं, इसलिए कहा, चार मिले !
फिर कहा, चौसठ खिले –
यानि दोनों के बत्तीस-बत्तीस दांत – कुल मिलाकर चौंसठ हो गए, इस तरह “चार मिले, चौंसठ खिले” हुआ!”
“बीस रहे कर जोड़” – दोनों हाथों की दस उंगलियां – दोनों व्यक्तियों की 20 हुईं – बीसों मिलकर ही एक-दूसरे को प्रणाम की मुद्रा में हाथ बरबस उठ ही जाते हैं!”
“प्रेमी सज्जन दो मिले” – जब दो आत्मीय जन मिलें – यह बड़े रहस्य की बात है – क्योंकि मिलने वालों में आत्मीयता नहीं हुई तो “न बीस रहे कर जोड़” होगा और न “चौंसठ खिलेंगे”
उन्होंने आगे कहा, “वैसे तो शरीर में रोम की गिनती करना असम्भव है, लेकिन मोटा-मोटा साढ़े तीन करोड़ बताते हैं, बताने वाले ! तो कवि के अंतिम रहस्य – “प्रेमी सज्जन दो मिले – खिल गए सात करोड़!” का अर्थ हुआ कि जब कोई आत्मीय हमसे मिलता है, तो रोम-रोम खिलना स्वाभाविक ही है भाई – जैसे ही कोई ऐसा मिलता है, तो कवि ने अंतिम पंक्ति में पूरा रस निचोड़ दिया – “खिल गए सात करोड़” यानि हमारा रोम-रोम खिल जाता है!”
भई वाह, आनंद आ गया। हमारी कहावतों में कितना सार छुपा है। एक-एक शब्द चासनी में डूबा हुआ, हृदय को भावविभोर करता हुआ! इन्हीं कहावतों के जरिए हमारे बुजुर्ग, जिनको हम कम पढ़ा-लिखा समझते थे, हमारे अंदर गाहे-बगाहे संस्कार का बीज बोते रहते थे।
अपने जीवन मे बुजुर्गों और बड़ों के अनुभव एवं मार्गदर्शन को, हमें नज़र अंदाज़ नही करना चाहिए।
Four met sixty-four blossomed, adding up to twenty! Loving gentleman two met, seven crores blossomed !!
An elderly man asked me the meaning of this proverb. Even after much deliberation, when I could not tell, I said – “Baba, you tell me, I do not understand anything!”
Then Baba started explaining with a mysterious smile – “Look son, this is a matter of great mystery… Four met – Meaning whenever someone meets, the eyes of both of them meet first of all, that’s why they said, four met! Then said, Sixty-four blossomed – That is, thirty-two teeth of both – in total became sixty-four, thus “four met, sixty four blossomed” happened!
“Twenty Rahe Kar Jod” – Ten fingers of both the hands – 20 of both the persons – the hands get up in a gesture of salutation to each other with twenty one!”
“Love gentleman two meet” – When two soulmates meet – it is a matter of great mystery – because if there is no intimacy among those who meet, then there will be no “twenty-four years of addition” nor “sixty-four will bloom”
He further said, “Although it is impossible to count the hairs in the body, but fat and fat three and a half crores tell, tellers! So the last secret of the poet – “Love gentleman two met – bloomed seven crores!” It means that when a soulmate meets us, then it is natural to blossom. It blooms!”
Wow, joy has arrived. How much essence is hidden in our proverbs. Each word is immersed in the syrup, making the heart engrossed! Through these proverbs, our elders, whom we thought to be less educated, used to sow seeds of sanskar in us time and again. We should not ignore the experience and guidance of elders and elders in our life.
