एक शिक्षक के पेट में ट्यूमर (गाँठ) हो गया । उन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती कर दिया गया । अगले दिन ऑपरेशन होना था । वे जिस वॉर्ड में थे उसमें एक रोगी की मृत्यु हुई । उसकी पत्नी विलाप करने लगी – “अब मैं क्या करूँ, इनको कैसे गाँव ले जाऊँ ? मेरे पास पैसे भी नहीं हैं ! कैसे इनका क्रियाकर्म होगा” ? शिक्षक सत्संगी थे । उनको अपने दर्द से ज्यादा उसका विलाप पीड़ा दे रहा था । उनसे रहा नहीं गया । उन्होंने अपनी चिकित्सा के लिए रखे सारे रुपये उस स्त्री को दे दिये और कहा – ‘‘बहन ! जो हो गया सो हो गया, अब तुम रोओ मत । ये रुपये लो और अपने गाँव जाकर पति का अन्तिम संस्कार करवाओ” ।
रात में शिक्षक का दर्द बढ़ गया और उन्हें ज़ोर से उलटी हुई। नर्स ने सफाई करायी और दवा देकर सुला दिया । सुबह उन्हें ऑपरेशन के लिए ले जाया गया । डॉक्टर ने जाँच की तो दंग रह गया – ‘‘रातभर में इनके पेट का ट्यूमर कहाँ गायब हो गया”! नर्स ने बताया – ‘‘इन्हें रात में बड़े ज़ोर की उलटी हुई थी । उसमें काफी खून भी निकला था” । डॉक्टर बोला – ‘उसी में इनका ट्यूमर निकल गया है । अब ये बिल्कुल ठीक हैं । ऑपरेशन की जरूरत नहीं है” ।
“रामचरितमानस” में आता है –
पर हित सरिस धर्म नहिं भाई”
“परोपकार के समान कोई धर्म नहीं है” । तुम दूसरे का जितना भला चाहोगे उतना तुम्हारा मंगल होगा । ज़रूरी नहीं कि जिसका तुमने सहयोग किया वही बदले में तुम्हारी सहायता करे । गुरु-तत्व व परमात्मा सर्वव्यापी सत्ता वाले हैं । वे किसी के द्वारा कभी भी दे सकते हैं । परोपकार का बाहरी फल उसी समय मिले या बाद में, ब्रह्मज्ञानी गुरु के सत्संगी साधक को तो सत्कर्म करते समय ही भीतर में आत्मसन्तोष, आत्मतृप्ति का फल प्राप्त हो जाता है।
परमसेवा से जुड़ें । यह परोपकार का भाव जीव मात्र के कल्याण के लिए है..!!

A teacher had a tumor in his stomach. He was admitted to the hospital. The operation was to take place the next day. A patient died in the ward he was in. His wife started lamenting – “What should I do now, how can I take them to the village? I don’t even have money! How will their rituals be done? The teachers were satsangi. His lamentation was hurting him more than his own pain. Couldn’t stay with them. He gave all the money kept for his treatment to that woman and said – “Sister! What is done is done, don’t cry now. Take this money and go to your village to perform the last rites of your husband”. At night the teacher’s pain increased and he vomited violently. The nurse got him cleaned and gave medicine and put him to sleep. In the morning he was taken for operation. When the doctor checked, he was stunned – “Where did the tumor of his stomach disappear overnight”! The nurse told – “He had severe vomiting in the night. There was also a lot of blood in it. The doctor said – ‘His tumor has come out in that. Now they are all right. No need for operation”.
Comes in “Ramcharitmanas” – But interest is not religion brother.
“There is no religion like charity”. The more you wish for the good of others, the more you will be blessed. It is not necessary that the one whom you helped should help you in return. The Guru-element and the Supreme Soul are omnipresent. They can be given by anyone anytime. Whether the external fruit of charity is received at the same time or later, a devotee who is in the company of a Brahmagyani Guru gets the fruit of self-satisfaction, self-satisfaction within himself while doing good deeds.
