रात अंधियारी कारी, जन्मे जब कृष्ण मुरारी,
खुल गयीं तब बेड़ियाँ सारी, जब जन्म लिए बनवारी।
धन्य हुए वसुदेव देवकी, खुशियाँ जीवन में पधारी,
कंस के अंत की तब तो, हो गयी पूरी तैयारी।
खुल गए सब ताले झट से, सो गए दरबान भी सारे,
कान्हा को लेकर फिर, वसुदेव गोकुल को पधारे।
छायी घन घोर घटायें, आफत सी बरसती जाएँ,
यमुना का जल भी देखो, हर पल बढ़ता ही जाए।
वसुदेव सब देख रहे थे, फिर भी हिम्मत न हारे
कृष्णा को लेकर वो फिर, झट से बढ़ गए थे आगे।
आगे वसुदेव जी चलते, कान्हा को सिर पे थामे,
पीछे थे शेष नाग जी, वो भी कान्हा को ढांके।
गोकुल में जब वो आये, सबको सोते हुए पाए,
यशोदा की उठा के बेटी,कृष्णा को वहाँ लिटाये।
वापस आ गए फिर मथुरा, हाथों में बेड़ियाँ आई,
दरबान जागे फिर सारे, सूचना कंस को पहुंचाई।
जैसे वो मारने आया, देवी ने रच दी माया,
गोकुल वो पहुँच चुका है, तुझको जो मारने आया।

गोकुल में फैली खुशियाँ, सब ने फिर जश्न मचाया,
जग का उद्धार करने, कृष्णा इस जग में आया।
प्रभु के दर्शन करने को, आये फिर नर और नारी,
सबका है अंत अब आया, जितने हैं अत्याचारी।
