(एक प्रेरणादायक कहानी)
गोपल एक बड़े और व्यस्त शहर में अपने माता-पिता के साथ रहता था। उसके पिता एक प्रतिष्ठित व्यवसायी थे और उनके पास धन-संपत्ति की कोई कमी नहीं थी। गोपाल के पास महंगे खिलौने, अच्छे कपड़े, एक बड़ा घर और सुविधाओं से भरपूर जीवन था। लेकिन वह इन सबका आदी हो चुका था और उसे कभी यह अहसास ही नहीं हुआ कि जीवन के असली मायने क्या होते हैं।
एक बार गर्मी की छुट्टियाँ शुरू हुईं। गोपाल के पिता ने सोचा कि इस बार उसे सिर्फ मॉल और वीडियो गेम्स में समय नहीं बिताना चाहिए, बल्कि असली जीवन का अनुभव कराना चाहिए। उन्होंने गोपाल से कहा, “बेटा, चलो इस बार गर्मी की छुट्टियों में गाँव चलते हैं। तुम्हें बाहर की दुनिया दिखाते हैं।” गोपाल थोड़ा चौंका, लेकिन पिता की बात मान गया।
अगले दिन वे लोग अपने पैतृक गाँव के लिए रवाना हुए। कुछ ही घंटों की यात्रा के बाद वे गाँव पहुँच गए। वहाँ का वातावरण एकदम शांत था—चारों ओर हरियाली, खुले मैदान, साफ-सुथरी हवा और चहचहाते पक्षी। गोपाल को यह सब देखकर पहले थोड़ी हैरानी हुई, क्योंकि वह तो सिर्फ कंक्रीट के जंगलों और ट्रैफिक की आवाजों का आदी था।
गाँव में गोपाल के पिता उसे खेतों में ले गए, जहाँ किसान अपने परिवार के साथ कड़ी मेहनत कर रहे थे। पास में मिट्टी के बने छोटे-छोटे घर थे, जिनमें यही किसान अपने बच्चों के साथ रहते थे। गोपाल को यह देखकर आश्चर्य हुआ कि इतने कम संसाधनों में भी ये लोग कितने खुश हैं।
गाँव के बच्चों ने गोपाल का गर्मजोशी से स्वागत किया। वह उनके साथ खेला, तालाब में नहाया, पेड़ों पर चढ़ा, आम और जामुन खाए, भेड़ों और गायों के साथ खेला। उसे पहली बार जिंदगी की सादगी और खुशबू का अनुभव हुआ। वहाँ किसी के पास महंगे फोन नहीं थे, लेकिन फिर भी सब हँसते-गाते और खुश रहते थे।
एक सप्ताह कब बीत गया, पता ही नहीं चला। जब वापसी का समय आया, तो गोपाल थोड़ा उदास था। वापसी के रास्ते में उसके पिता ने मुस्कराकर पूछा, “बेटा, अब बताओ गाँव में क्या देखा? क्या महसूस किया? देखा कैसे गरीब लोग कितनी कठिन जिंदगी जीते हैं?”
गोपाल कुछ पल चुप रहा, फिर बोला, “पापा, मैं तो आपको धन्यवाद देना चाहता हूँ कि आपने मुझे दिखाया कि अमीर असल में कौन होते हैं।”
पिता हैरान रह गए। गोपाल आगे बोला, “हमारे पास तो सिर्फ एक कुत्ता है, लेकिन गाँव के बच्चों के पास तो कई कुत्ते हैं। हमारे पास एक गाय है, उनके पास बहुत सारी गायें और भेड़ें हैं। हम एक छोटे से घर में रहते हैं, लेकिन उनके पास खुले मैदान, खेत, और प्रकृति की गोद में बना घर है। हमारे यहाँ तो तारों से भरा आकाश भी नहीं दिखता, पर वहाँ रोज रात को मैं खुले आसमान के नीचे लेट कर तारे गिनता था। पापा, अमीरी पैसे में नहीं, दिल की खुशी और संतोष में है।”
गोपल की बात सुनकर पिता की आँखें नम हो गईं। उन्होंने महसूस किया कि आज बेटे ने जीवन का असली पाठ पढ़ लिया है।
नैतिक शिक्षा:
सच्ची अमीरी संसाधनों में नहीं, सोच में होती है। आप चाहे जहाँ हों, अगर संतोष और आत्मविश्वास के साथ मेहनत करें, तो वहीं से सफलता की शुरुआत हो सकती है। हमें दूसरों की ज़िंदगी से तुलना करने के बजाय अपनी जिंदगी को सही दृष्टिकोण से देखने की ज़रूरत है। वही व्यक्ति अमीर होता है जो कम में भी खुश रहना जानता है।
(An inspirational story)
Gopal lived with his parents in a big and busy city. Her father was a distinguished businessman and had no shortage of wealth. Gopal had a life full of expensive toys, good clothes, a big house and facilities. But he had become accustomed to all of them and he never realized what the real means of life.
Once summer holidays started. Gopal’s father thought that this time he should not only spend time in mall and video games, but should experience real life. He told Gopal, “Son, let’s go to the village this time during the summer holidays. Show you the outside world.” Gopal was a little shocked, but agreed to the father.
The next day they left for their native village. He reached the village after a few hours of journey. The atmosphere there was very calm-greenery, open fields, clean air and chirping birds. Gopal was a little surprised to see all this, because he was only addicted to the sounds of concrete forests and traffic.
Gopal’s father took him to the fields in the village, where the farmers were working hard with their family. There were small houses made of clay nearby, in which these farmers lived with their children. Gopal was surprised to see how happy these people are even in so low resources.
The children of the village warmly welcomed Gopal. He played with them, bathed in the pond, climbing trees, eating mangoes and berries, played with sheep and cows. For the first time he experienced the simplicity and fragrance of life. No one had expensive phones there, but still everyone used to laugh and sing.
When a week passed, it was not known. When the return time came, Gopal was a bit sad. On the way to return, his father smiled and asked, “Son, now tell me what you have seen in the village?
Gopal remained silent for a few moments, then said, “Papa, I want to thank you that you showed me who is really.”
The father was surprised. Gopal further said, “We have only one dog, but the children of the village have many dogs. We have a cow, they have a lot of cows and sheep. We live in a small house, but they have an open ground, farm, and a house made in the lap of nature. We do not even see the sky full of stars, but I did not see the stars in the night every night.
