मां कात्यायनी पीठ मंदिर

भगवान कृष्ण की नगरी में वृन्दावन में भी देवी के 51 शक्तिपीठों में से एक कात्यायनी पीठ स्थित है। इस मंदिर का नाम प्राचीन सिद्धपीठ में आता है। बताया जाता है कि यहां माता सती के केश गिरे थे, इसका प्रमाण शास्त्रों में मिलता है। नवरात्र के अवसर पर देश-विदेश से लाखों भक्त माता के दर्शन करने के लिए यहां आते हैं। बताया जाता है कि राधारानी ने भी श्रीकृष्ण को पाने के लिए इस शक्तिपीठ की पूजा की थी।

श्रीमद् भागवत में किया गया है उल्लेख

देवर्षि श्री वेदव्यास जी ने श्रीमद् भागवत के दशम स्कंध के 22वें अध्याय में उल्लेख किया है-

कात्यायनि महामाये महायोगिन्यधीश्वरि।
नन्दगोपसुतं देवि पतिं मे कुरु ते नम:॥

हे कात्यायनि! हे महामाये! हे महायोगिनी! हे अधीश्वरि! हे देवि! नन्द गोप के पुत्र हमें पत‍ि के रूप में प्राप्‍त हों। हम आपकी अर्चना एवं वंदना करते हैं।

इसलिए भगवान ने किया महारास

गीता के अनुसार, राधारानी ने गोपियों के साथ भगवान कृष्ण को पति रूप में पाने के लिए कात्यायनी पीठ की पूजा की थी। माता ने उन्हें वरदान दे दिया लेकिन भगवान एक और गोपियां अनेक, ऐसा संभव नहीं था। इसके लिए भगवान कृष्ण ने वरदान को साक्षात करने के लिए महारास किया।

नवरात्र के दौरान माता के इस मंदिर में महिलाओं का प्रवेश रहता है वर्जित।

प्रत्येक मनोकामना होती है पूरी।

तब से आज तक यहां कुंवारे लड़के और लड़कियां नवरात्र के अवसर पर मनचाहा वर और वधु प्राप्त करने के लिए माता का आशीर्वाद पाने के लिए आते हैं। मान्यता है जो भी भक्त सच्चे मन से माता की पूजा करता है, उसकी मनोकामना शीघ्र पूरी होती है।

भगवान कृष्ण ने भी की थी पूजा

स्थानीय निवासियों के अनुसार, भगवान कृष्ण ने कंस का वध करने से पहले यमुना किनारे माता कात्यायनी को कुलदेवी मानकर बालू से मां की प्रतिमा बनाई थी। उस प्रतिमा की पूजा करने के बाद भगवान कृष्ण ने कंस का वध किया था। प्रत्येक वर्ष नवरात्र के अवसर पर यहां मेले का भी आयोजन किया जाता है।

इन्होंने करवाया मंदिर का निर्माण

कात्यायनी पीठ मंदिर का निर्माण फरवरी 1923 में स्वामी केशवानंद ने करवाया था। मां कात्यायनी के साथ इस मंदिर में पंचानन शिव, विष्णु, सूर्य तथा सिद्धिदाता श्री गणेश की मूर्तियां हैं। मंदिर का आध्यात्मिक वातावरण देखते ही श्रद्धालु मंत्रमुग्ध हो जाते हैं और दिल और दिमाग में शांति पाते हैं।

Mention has been made in Shrimad Bhagwat

Devarshi Shri Vedvyas ji has mentioned in the 22nd chapter of Dasam Skandha of Shrimad Bhagwat-

O Katyayani, great illusion, lord of the great yoginis. “O Devi make Nanda the son of Gopa my husband I offer my obeisances to you”

Hey Katyayani! Hey Mahamaye! Hey Mahayogini! Hey Adhishwari! O Goddess! May we get the sons of Nanda Gopa as husbands. We worship and worship you.

That’s why God made Maharas

According to the Gita, Radharani along with the gopis worshiped Katyayani Peeth to get Lord Krishna as her husband. Mother gave him a boon but God is one and many gopis, it was not possible. For this, Lord Krishna performed Maharas to fulfill the boon.

The entry of women in this temple of Mata is prohibited during Navratri.

Every wish is fulfilled.

Since then till today unmarried boys and girls come here on the occasion of Navratri to seek the blessings of the mother to get desired bride and groom. It is believed that any devotee who worships the mother with a true heart, his wishes are fulfilled soon.

Lord Krishna also worshiped

According to the local residents, before killing Kansa, Lord Krishna had made a sand statue of Mother Katyayani on the banks of the Yamuna considering her as the Kuldevi. Lord Krishna killed Kansa after worshiping that idol. A fair is also organized here every year on the occasion of Navratri.

He got the temple built

The Katyayani Peeth temple was built in February 1923 by Swami Kesavananda. Along with Maa Katyayani, this temple has idols of Panchanan Shiva, Vishnu, Surya and Siddhidata Shri Ganesh. Devotees get mesmerized by the spiritual atmosphere of the temple and find peace in heart and mind.
