अगंद जी को यही संसय था कि कंही लंका में उनका सामना अक्षय कुमार से हो गया तो श्राप के कारण गड़बड़ हो सकती है, इसलिए उन्होंने पहले हनुमान जी से जाने को कहा। और ये बात रावण भी जानता था, इसलिए जब राक्षसों ने रावण को बताया बड़ा भारी वानर आया है और अशोक वाटिका को उजाड़ रहा है तो रावण ने सबसे पहले अक्षय कुमार को ही भेजा वह जानता था वानरों में इतना बलशाली बाली और अंगद ही है जो सो योजन का समुंद्र लांघ कर लंका में प्रवेश कर सकते हैं, बाली का तो वध श्री राम के हाथों हो चुका है तो हो न हो अंगद ही होगा और अगर वह हुआ तो अक्षय कुमार उसका बड़ी सरलता से वध कर देगा।
पुनि पठयउ तेहिं अच्छकुमारा।
चला संग लै सुभट अपारा॥
आवत देखि बिटप गहि तर्जा।
ताहि निपाति महाधुनि गर्जा॥4॥
किन्तु जब हनुमान जी ने अक्षय कुमार का राम नाम सत्य कर दिया और राक्षसों ने जाकर यह सूचना रावण को दी तो उसने सीधे मेघनाथ को भेजा और कहा उस वानर को मारना नही बंधी बनाकर लाना में देखना चाहता हूँ बाली और अंगद के सिवाय और कोनसा वानर इतना बलशाली है।
सुनि सुत बध लंकेस रिसाना।
पठएसि मेघनाद बलवाना॥
मारसि जनि सुत बाँधेसु ताही।
देखिअ कपिहि कहाँ कर आही॥
हनुमान जी ज्ञानिनामग्रगण्यम् है वह जानते थे जब तक अक्षय कुमार जीवित रहेगा अंगद जी लंका में प्रवेश नही कर पाएंगे, इसलिए हनुमान जी ने अक्षय कुमार का वध किया जिससे अंगद जी बिना संसय के लंका में प्रवेश कर सके और बाद में वह शांति दूत बन कर गए भी। || जय जय जय अंगद हनुमाना ||
