सच्चे महात्माके दर्शनसे लाभ

एक स्त्री हमेशा अपने पतिको निन्दा किया करती थी। यह स्त्री पूजा करने और माला फेरनेमें तो अपना काफी समय लगाती थी; परंतु पाखण्डी महात्माओंके फोटो रखकर उनपर चन्दन और फूल चढ़ाया करती थी। इस स्त्रीने रामायणकी कई आवृत्ति की पर पाखण्डियोंके फेरमें पड़ी रहनेके कारण इसको इस बातका ज्ञान नहीं हो सका कि जिस पतिकी वह निन्दा करती फिरती है वह उसके लिये क्या है। यह बीसों महात्माओंके पास गयी। सब उससे बड़े प्यारसे बोलते थे और अपने पास बैठाते थे। वह यह देखकर बड़ी प्रसन्न होती थी कि महात्मा लोग उसको कितना प्यार करते हैं। यह स्त्री अपने सगे सम्बन्धियोंके यहाँ जाकर भी अपने पतिकी निन्दा करती थी। इस स्त्रीने अपनी बुराइयोंको छिपानेके लिये यही एक साधन निकाल रखा था। पर इस स्त्रीको कोई समझा न पाया।

एक दिन इसको एक अच्छे महात्मा मिल गये। यह उन महात्माके दर्शन करने गयी। प्रातः कालका समय था। इसने उनसे अपने पतिकी निन्दा की। महात्माजीनेपूछा- ‘तुम्हारे पतिने भी कहीं किसीसे तुम्हारी निन्दा | की है ?’ स्त्रीने कहा- ‘नहीं!’ महात्माने उत्तर दिया कि ‘आज मैंने तुम्हारा दर्शन किया। अतः मैं तीन दिनका मौन साधन और उपवास करूँगा।’ और यह कहकर वे चुप हो गये तथा कानमें अँगुली लगा ली। स्त्री वहाँसे चल दी। वह फिर दूसरे दिन महात्माजीके पास गयी। महात्माजीने लिखकर बताया कि ‘आज फिर तुम्हें देख लिया इससे अब पाँच रोजतक उपवास रहेगा।’ स्त्री लौटकर चली गयी। स्त्रीसे न रहा गया। उसने सारा हाल अपने पतिसे कहा। पतिने कहा- ‘अच्छा पाँच रोज समाप्त होनेपर चलेंगे।’ जिस समय महात्माजीका उपवास समाप्त होनेवाला था, उसके पति फल लेकर महात्माजीके पास गये। महात्माजीने फल खाकर उसके पतिको आशीर्वाद दिया। तब उसके पतिने कहा कि ‘आपको मेरी स्त्रीने बड़ा कष्ट दिया, इसके लिये मैं 4 आपसे क्षमा माँगता हूँ और आपको यह जानकर खुशी होगी कि मेरी स्त्रीने अब मेरी निन्दा करना छोड़ दिया है।’ महात्माजीने कहा-‘अच्छे और बुरे पुरुषोंके सङ्गका यही फल होता है। ‘

A woman always used to criticize her husband. This woman used to spend a lot of time in worshiping and garlanding; But the hypocrite used to keep the photographs of Mahatmas and offer sandalwood and flowers on them. This woman recited the Ramayana many times, but because of lying in the circle of hypocrites, she could not know what is meant for her by the husband whom she keeps criticizing. It went to twenty Mahatma’s. Everyone used to speak very lovingly to him and used to make him sit near him. She was very happy to see how much Mahatma people love her. This woman used to criticize her husband even after visiting her relatives. This woman had taken out only one means to hide her evils. But no one could understand this woman.
One day he found a good Mahatma. She went to see that Mahatma. It was morning. She criticized her husband from him. Mahatma Jeene asked – ‘Your husband also criticized you somewhere. Is it?’ The woman said – ‘No!’ Mahatma replied that ‘Today I saw you. So I will observe silence and fast for three days.’ And saying this he became silent and put his finger in his ear. The woman left from there. She again went to Mahatmaji the next day. Mahatmaji wrote and told that ‘I have seen you again today, because of this I will fast for five days’. The woman returned and left. Couldn’t stay with the woman. She told the whole situation to her husband. The husband said- ‘Well, we will go after the five days are over.’ When Mahatmaji’s fast was about to end, her husband went to Mahatmaji with fruits. Mahatmaji blessed her husband after eating the fruit. Then her husband said that ‘I apologize to you for my wife giving you a lot of trouble, and you will be happy to know that my wife has stopped criticizing me now.’ Mahatmaji said-‘ This is the result of the company of good and bad men. ,
