एक महात्मा थे। वे एकान्तमें देवीजीकी पूजा करते थे। एक दिन जब वे पूजा कर रहे थे उनके मनमें आया कि माता मुझे दर्शन दें। उसी समय उनको दिखायी पड़ा कि एक बिल्ली साड़ी पहनकर पिछले दो पैरोंसे चलरही है। एक बार तो उनको डर लगा फिर उन्होंने मातासे प्रार्थना की कि ‘माँ! अपने पुत्रको इस प्रकार मत डराओ।’ उसी समय बिल्ली देवीके रूपमें प्रकट हो गयी और उनका चढ़ाया हुआ नैवेद्य देवीजीने ग्रहण कर लिया।
There was a Mahatma. He used to worship the Goddess in solitude. One day when he was worshiping, he thought that mother should give me darshan. At the same time, he saw that a cat wearing a saree was walking on its hind legs. Once he got scared, then he prayed to the mother, ‘Mother! Don’t scare your son like this.’ At the same time the cat appeared in the form of a goddess and the offering offered by her was accepted by the goddess.
