सुबह मेघनाथ से लक्ष्मण का अंतिम युद्ध होने वाला था। वह मेघनाथ जो अब तक अविजित था। जिसकी भुजाओं के बल पर रावण युद्ध कर रहा था। अप्रितम योद्धा !
जिसके पास सभी दिव्यास्त्र थे।
सुबह लक्ष्मण जी , भगवान राम से आशीर्वाद लेने गये।
उस समय भगवान राम पूजा कर रहे थे !
पूजा समाप्ति के पश्चात प्रभु श्री राम ने हनुमानजी से पूछा अभी कितना समय है युद्ध होने में?
हनुमानजी ने कहा कि अभी कुछ समय है! यह तो प्रातःकाल है।
भगवान राम ने लक्ष्मण जी से कहा ! यह पात्र लो भिक्षा मांगकर लाओ , जो पहला व्यक्ति मिले उसी से कुछ अन्नं मांग लेना।
सभी बड़े आश्चर्य में पड़ गये। आशीर्वाद की जगह भिक्षा! लेकिन लक्ष्मण जी को जाना ही था।
लक्ष्मण जी जब भिक्षा मांगने के लिए निकले तो उन्हें सबसे पहले रावण का सैनिक मिल गया! आज्ञा अनुसार मांगना ही था। यदि भगवान की आज्ञा न होती तो उस सैनिक को लक्ष्मण जी वहीं मार देते। परंतु वे उससे भिक्षा मांगते है।
सैनिक ने अपनी रसद से लक्ष्मण जी को कुछ अन्न दे दिए।
लक्ष्मण जी वह अन्न लेकर भगवान राम को अर्पित कर दिए।
तत्पश्चात भगवान राम ने उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया…विजयी भवः।
भिक्षा का मर्म किसी के समझ नहीं आया ! कोई पूछ भी नहीं सकता था… फिर भी यह प्रश्न तो रह ही गया।फ़िर भीषण युद्ध हुआ!
अंत मे मेघनाथ ने त्रिलोक कि अंतिम शक्तियों को लक्ष्मण जी पर चलाया। ब्रह्मास्त्र , पशुपात्र , सुदर्शन चक्र ! इन अस्त्रों कि कोई काट न थी।
लक्ष्मण जी सिर झुकाकर इन अस्त्रों को प्रणाम किए। सभी अस्त्र उनको आशीर्वाद देकर वापस चले गए।
उसके बाद राम का ध्यान करके लक्ष्मण जी ने मेघनाथ पर बाण चलाया ! वह हँसने लगा और उसका सिर कटकर जमीन पर गिर गया।उसकी मृत्यु हो गई।
उसी दिन सन्ध्याकालीन समय भगवान राम शिव की आराधना कर रहे थे। वह प्रश्न तो अबतक रह ही गया था। हनुमानजी ने पूछ लिया! प्रभु वह भिक्षा का मर्म क्या है ?
भगवान मुस्कराने लगे , बोले मैं लक्ष्मण को जानता हूँ….वह अत्यंत क्रोधी है।लेकिन युद्ध में बहुत ही विन्रमता कि आवश्यकता पड़ती है! विजयी तो वही होता है जो विन्रम हो। मैं जानता था मेघनाथ! ब्रह्मांड कि चिंता नहीं करेगा। वह युद्ध जीतने के लिये दिव्यास्त्रों का प्रयोग करेगा! इन अमोघ शक्तियों के सामने विन्रमता ही काम कर सकती थी। इसलिये मैंने लक्ष्मण को सुबह झुकना बताया!एक वीर शक्तिशाली व्यक्ति जब भिक्षा मांगेगा तो विन्रमता स्वयं प्रवाहित होगी। लक्ष्मण ने मेरे नाम से बाण छोड़ा था …यदि मेघनाथ उस बाण के सामने विन्रमता दिखाता तो मैं भी उसे क्षमा कर देता।
भगवान श्रीरामचन्द्र जी एक महान राजा के साथ अद्वितीय सेनापति भी थे। युद्धकाल में विन्रमता शक्ति संचय का भी मार्ग है ! वीर पुरुष को शोभा भी देता है।इसलिए किसी भी बड़े धर्म युद्ध में विजय प्राप्ति के लिए विनम्रता औऱ धैर्य का होना अत्यंत आवश्यक है……

In the morning Lakshman’s last battle with Meghnath was about to take place. The Meghnath who was undefeated till now. On whose strength Ravana was fighting. Amazing warrior! He had all the divine weapons.
In the morning Lakshman ji went to seek blessings from Lord Rama. Lord Rama was worshiping at that time.
After the end of the worship, Lord Shri Ram asked Hanumanji, how much time is there for the war to happen?
Hanumanji said that it is some time now! It is morning.
Lord Rama told Lakshman ji! Take this vessel and bring it by asking for alms, ask for some food from the first person who gets it.
Everyone was in great surprise. Blessings instead of blessings! But Lakshman ji had to go.
When Lakshman ji went out to beg for alms, he first found the soldier of Ravana! Had to ask as per the order. If God had not ordered, then Lakshman ji would have killed that soldier there. But they ask him for alms.
The soldier gave some food to Lakshman ji with his logistics.
Lakshman ji took that food and offered it to Lord Rama.
Thereafter Lord Rama blessed him… vijay bhavah.
No one understood the meaning of begging. No one could even ask… still this question remained. Then a fierce battle ensued!
In the end, Meghnath exerted the last powers of Trilok on Lakshman ji. Brahmastra, Pashupatra, Sudarshan Chakra! There was no cut of these weapons.
Lakshman ji bowed his head and bowed to these weapons. All the weapons went back after blessing them.
After that, after meditating on Rama, Lakshman ji shot an arrow at Meghnath. He started laughing and fell on the ground with his head cut off. He died.
On the same day Lord Rama was worshiping Shiva during the evening time. That question was still there. Hanumanji asked. Lord, what is the meaning of that alms?
God started smiling, said, I know Lakshman…. He is very angry. But a lot of humility is needed in war! Victorious is the one who is humble. I knew Meghnath! The universe will not worry about that. He will use celestial weapons to win the war! Only humility could work in the face of these unfailing powers. That’s why I told Lakshmana to bow down in the morning! When a brave mighty person asks for alms, humility will flow by itself. Lakshman had left an arrow in my name… If Meghnath had shown humility in front of that arrow, I would have forgiven him too.
Lord Shri Ramchandra ji was a great king as well as a unique commander. Humility is also a way of accumulating power in times of war. It also adorns a brave man. Therefore, it is very important to have humility and patience to win in any big religious war……
